Singing before he could talk and dancing before he could walk, everyone who knew Roul growing up knew that someday, he was going to be someone. Raised in the culturally rich areas of Aventhal, Roul flourished as a child. He had the best musical tutors money could buy, and any instrument he wanted. Plauged by the need to always learn more, however, Roul soon left his birthplace behind to travel the world.

He ended up in Wind Reach after long years of searching and observation. There he happened upon an kindly old man that the locals called "Old Cedar". There was something special about Old Cedar that Roul just couldn't put his finger on. Cedar knew more about music than Roul could ever hope to learn, and from that day forward they were learned teacher and willing student. When Cedar takes one of his mysterious vacations, it is Roul that he leaves in charge.

Personality

Hard to get along with an quite a know it all, Roul always had trouble making friends. Even as a child, he was quick to point out mistakes or correct someone as they worked. He was also always trying to push his methods of doing things onto others, but that never worked out too well. Shunned by people his own age, Roul learned to be his own best friend. He was still a happy child and outgoing, but strange. He would never quite fit in.

In his later years, Roul found his calling in that of a music teacher. It was a perfect place to put his personality to work; he could correct students errors, teach them better ways of doing things, shaping and molding them into brilliant musicians.

Appearance

Like those of his birthplace, Roul had a naturally athletic build that would make anyone jealous. His hair and eyes were both dark of color, though his hair was often shot with purples and blues, while his eyes glowed a dark amethyst. In his elder years, he wore his hair cut close to his scalp and often had stubble lining his jaw.
