Desperation Bay

Desperation Bay is a large, deep inlet on the coast of Taldera. During the winter, it completely freezes over, and travel in or out by water is impossible. The surrounding land area is nearly uninhabitable tundra, and there are no permanent settlements nearby.

The bay was named by the navigator Kenabelle Wright, whose expedition was forced to overwinter there.
