Alessa Anthurium is the owner and head mistress of the Weft and Warp, Kalinor's weaving school. She manages it together with her cousin, Avarys Anthurium.
Abstract
Alessa was born into the Anthurium Web that owned the Weft and Warp for many generations. After the death of her parents, she took over the management of the weaving school with her cousin Avarys.
Unlike Avarys, Alessa has always been completely dedicated to the school. Despite her young age she is already the most skilled weaver in Kalinor. While her cousin enjoys life and parties, she usually spends her time at the Weft and Warp, perfecting her skills.
Despite their opposing personalities, Alessa and Avarys were lovers for more than ten years, until Alessa came to the decision that a relationship with such a close relative had no future. She wanted a husband and children, she wanted a peaceful, normal life, and she couldn’t have that with Avarys.
She probably wouldn’t even have been able to have that normal life if they weren’t related by blood.
Appearance and Personality
It is impossible to describe Alessa without Avarys for they are opposites in most ways. Alessa is light where Avarys is dark. She is silver white hair and large golden eyes and would be considered beautiful by most. Where Avarys is loud, jokes and flirts, Alessa is quiet and serious. At first glance Alessa seems to be perfect – quite unlike the controversial Avarys - but she can be mean and hurtful if she wants to.
